Silver Airways Continues to Expand Interline and Codeshare Ticketing Capabilities and Partnerships

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2014) – Silver Airways, which offers more service between Florida cities than any other airline and more flights between Florida and the Bahamas than any other U.S. airline, continues to develop and expand its interline and codeshare ticketing capabilities and partnerships. These new ticketing partnerships allow partner airlines to bring even more destinations within reach of customers, allowing travelers to easily connect between different airline networks.  By booking single-ticket trips and combining flights on multiple carriers, customers can also enjoy one-stop check-in and baggage check when they transfer between the airlines at any of Silver’s gateways.
In less than a year since it launched its own website and stand-alone Sabre reservations system, Silver has expanded its diverse and growing portfolio of partnerships to include interline agreements with American Airlines, Bahamasair, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, and US Airways, as well as international interline ticketing capabilities with overseas airline partner Hahn Air.  These new partnerships are in addition to Silver’s longstanding codeshare and frequent flyer partnership with the world’s largest airline, United Airlines.
In addition, as part of its continued interline and codeshare development efforts, Silver this week introduced Sabre Revenue Manager, rounding out its suite of Sabre Revenue Management products that also include Sabre Fares Manager. These capabilities, along with the Sabre Passenger Service System, participation in all major GDS systems, and membership in the IATA clearinghouse, allow Silver to provide current and future airline partners with easy access to the high demand Florida and Bahamas region.
“As a next generation regional airline, we are proud to connect travelers from our partner airlines with state-of-the-art industry systems,” said Silver Airways Chief Commercial Officer Travis Christ.
In 2013, Silver connected thousands of interline passengers on more than 450 weekly flights to 10 destinations throughout its extensive Florida network. In addition, with over 225 weekly flights between Florida and the Bahamas each week, more than any other airline, Silver carried thousands of interline travelers from its gateways at Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, West Palm Beach, and Jacksonville to seven Bahamian island destinations, including Bimini, Grand Bahama (Freeport), the Abacos (Marsh Harbor and Treasure Cay), the Elutheras (Northern Eluthera and Governor’s Harbor), and Exuma (Georgetown).
