Silver Airways Hosting Recruiting Open House for First Officer Pilots On April 16 in Hartford

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (April 11, 2014) – Silver Airways is currently recruiting professional first officers to join its growing flight operations team and is hosting an open house for qualified pilots on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in Hartford.
As part of its innovative initiatives to recruit qualified first officers, the next generation regional airline recently doubled its first officer signing bonus to $12,000, currently the highest pilot bonus in the regional airline industry.  Under the program, $3,000 is paid upon completion of initial training; $3,000 after a pilot’s first year of service; and $6,000 upon completion of two years of service with Silver. 
Those interested in joining Silver’s flight operations team are invited to attend one of the following upcoming open houses.

            Presentation and interviews at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm

Applicants are required to bring the following documentation:
  • FAA Certificate – Pilot License
  • Log Book
  • Two forms of identification (passport, driver’s license)
  • Current 1st Class Medical (with 1st Class Privileges)
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Three copies of current resume
  • Professional attire
Silver currently has pilot bases in Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, Tampa, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. (Dulles). Base availability is subject to change and is awarded by seniority.  Applicants must be willing to accept any base according to operational needs. The airline also operates a small number of Beechcraft 1900D aircraft (maximum seating capacity of 19 passengers) in the airline’s Cleveland network.
