Treasure Cay, along with the surrounding islands on Great Abaco’s east side, is best-known for extraordinary boating and deep-sea fishing conditions, as well as being a Top Ten Beach destination. Add local village charms; fascinating bird, plant life and eco-systems, fresh island cuisine and gorgeous sunsets from every angle and this is one idyllic getaway. If a full-service resort is what you have in mind, popular choices include Treasure Cay Hotel Resort and Marina, as well as the Green Turtle Club and Bluff House Beach Resort & Marina. Both are just a short 15 minute ride from Treasure Cay Airport, which has multiple direct daily flights from Florida.

EXPLORE
Treasure Cay and nearby Green Turtle can be enjoyed by foot, bicycle, golf cart or car. Stroll through quaint New Plymouth village, a quiet 18th century seaside village with charming, pastel-colored gingerbread houses, museums and restaurants. Just to the south of Treasure Cay is Little Harbour, a protected bay that houses a small artist colony. If you prefer guided tours, you can arrange that through local taxi drivers or organized tour companies on the island.
PLAY
Treasure Cay’s big crescent beach was voted by National Geographic as one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches. But several worthy challengers are here too: some feature dunes, shady palms or shorelines overflowing with shells. Treasure Cay, as well as all the Abacos, have been a boating destination for centuries. Bring your own boat and every marina amenity is at your beck and call. Many charter choices are here if you prefer to rent: small crafts to full-scale luxurious vessels with crews. The fishing doesn’t get much better: record marlin, sailfish and tuna catches are routine and summer tournaments are held here. Snorkeling and diving are big too: elegant Green Turtle features shallow reefs, teeming with marine life. Fun on terra firma includes premium spa facilities, as well as Treasure Cay Resort’s five-star rated golf course.
SHOP
Browse the galleries and shops at New Plymouth village to find hand-crafted jewelry and local island art. A wide variety of merchandise is available at the resorts including apparel, books, and souvenirs.
FEAST
Treasure Cay’s CoCo Beach Bar & Grill puts you footsteps from the water, with Bahamian drink specialties and grilled favorites. Spinnaker sits within lush gardens with marina views and serves international favorites with island flair. On Green Turtle, you’ll find McIntosh’s, The Wrecking Tree, and Harvey’s serving home-cooked, Bahamian cuisine. Don’t leave without visiting Miss Emily’s Blue Bee Bar, birthplace of the famous Bahamian rum drink, the Goombay Smash!
CELEBRATE
You’ll find the best nightlife in the clubs and bars at the various Treasure Cay and Green Turtle resorts and marinas, including pubs, sports bars, dance clubs and live music.
