At Silver Airways, all pilots are welcome! Our program includes multiple entry points specifically designed to cultivate a meaningful relationship with each pilot candidate prior to joining the team as a First Officer.

Initial Approach

Calling all pilots who have logged at least 250 hours of total time, and have obtained a commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating… This is your entry point! Whether you are a student at one of our 20+ partner flight schools, or are receiving flight instruction elsewhere, join us in the Initial Approach phase and receive up to $10,000 in financial assistance in obtaining your additional certificates and ratings, including multi-engine, CFI, CFII and MEI.


In Range

Accomplished pilots who have logged more than 1000 hours of flight time but less than 1450 are welcome to join us at the In Range phase. At Silver Airways, we recognize that the last 500 hours can be as grueling as the first 500, and therefore, Emerging Aviators in the In Range phase are eligible to receive up to $5000 to reach FAA minimum requirements, plus recieve paid ATP-CTP training (transportation and housing also included).


Cleared Direct

So, you’ve logged more than 1450 hours, or are qualified for the restricted ATP… Congratulations! You’re lining up to be Cleared Direct! Once you’ve met these requirements, you know you’re ready, and we know that too.

Pilots who enter at the Cleared Direct phase are eligible for paid ATP-CTP training (transportation and housing also included), and if selected to join the Silver Airways team as First Officer, will receive a $12,000 sign-on bonus. And, once on board as First Officer, employees are eligible to receive $2,500 for each and every pilot referred who interviews and is selected to join the Silver Airways team too.

What We Fly

ATR42 Cockpit

Our fleet is comprised of Saab 340B Plus aircraft, each powered by highly reliable, fuel-efficient GE jet-turbine propeller engines. Our refreshed aircraft feature leather seats and comfortable accommodate 34 passengers. We are introducing our new fleet of ATR-42 600 throughout 2018.

 

What You Need

Skills & Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Criminal Background Check
  • Must possess a valid passport
  • Applicants for the Restricted ATP must comply with AC 61-139, FAR 61.159 and FAR 61.160
  • Current first class medical
  • FCC License
  • No FAA violations, suspensions or current investigations
