Travel Bank FAQs

Travel Bank is how we refer to where you accumulate travel credits in your Silver account.  Credits are valid for one year and can be used to pay for future flights with Silver Airways. Once credits expire they cannot be extended.

Do my Travel Bank credits expire?
Yes. Credits expire one year from the date of the original travel for which the credits were issued. All credits expire at 11:59 p.m. EST on the expiration date. You can view the expiration date for each credit in your Travel Bank statement online. When you use Travel Bank credits, those with the earliest expiration date are used first. Please note that travel does not have to be completed by the Travel Bank credit expiration date but a new reservation must be booked by that date using the Travel Bank credit as payment.
If you receive a credit for a flight that was originally paid for with Travel Bank funds, the expiration date for this credit will revert back to the original expiration date of the credit used to purchase the flight.
Example: I booked a flight for February 10, 2015 and I used a Travel Bank credit due to expire March 29, 2014 to pay for it. I later cancelled the flight and after paying the cancel fee, the credit went back into my Travel Bank. The expiration date of this Travel Bank credit will be the original credit expiration date of March 29, 2014.
